hey pooter, man 7in stack's that would look awsome,send in a pic when u do get that done. i run a grand rock system, dual 5in. one day i will step it up to 6in..but after hearing they have 7in avail i know witch route i will go to.. have u got a price on them yet?? pm me if u have please, be couris to see the cost of them $$$$$

Also contemplating some 7 inch mitres necked down to 5 inch. would it mess them up if i were to cut them down to say 32-34 inches?

If you cut the stack AFTER it is chromed you will expose bare steel, and it can and will rust, and maybe even cause the chrome to blister. The best thing to do is if you are going to spend the money on 7" stacks, to go ahead, buy the length you want as a special stack, wait the 6 weeks or so it takes to build, ship to the plater, plate, return to Grand Rock, inspect box and ship. It's a lengthy process, but at least the chrome will be guarenteed for a year, and probably last you like 7 years.

You can get away with cutting an inch or two off from the bottom (The 5'' part) That will be slid into the 90's. But I'm not sure of the long term effect's of the chrome down there.

This is true Brian, I forgot to mention that. You can trim off about 1-1.5" off the bottom, and be ok. The part of exposed steel will be in the elbow end of the y-pipe, and will be protected by soot...LOL
