Question Quiet Stacks?

Ok, for 2007 Grand Rock is looking at offering our QP muffler inserts for the stacks in our stack kits. These mufflers have done very well with the Class 7 and 8 trucks, with keeping noise levels down, helping with fuel milaged, and also some with performance. Now the question is, how many of you would use these inserts? They would definatly quite the exhaust, which many wifes would like, but when you get on them really sound throaty and mean. So we are looking for some feed back, what do you all think?

How are they installed? It would make sense to install miters from the top, bulls and curved would be another story. Got any pics? I would deaf-inately be interested.

Well we will offer them for all diameter stacks. For the 4" and 5" stacks, they will go in ALL the style stacks. For the 6" and 7" stacks they will only work in the miter cut, and the straight cut stacks. You will have to drill two holes in the stack, and mount them to the back of the stack. This way you will not see the mounting bolts.

I think thats a great idea. The one reason that has kept me from getting any is the fact that they would be too loud on the long trips and the wifey and kids wouldnt like that. Around town i want it loud, then before a trip id drop the mufflers in to quite it down. Any more info on pricing?

Loud Stack

I Have One Stack, And Boy It Is Loud!! I Really Need Something That Will Just Take The Edge Off Of The Straight Stack Sound And Still Retain The Deep Tone. I Would Buy One Today!!

Well with all the positive feedback I'm getting, it's looking like these will be an optional muffler you can buy through one of our distributors!! Remember they will only work with certain stacks. The inserts will work with all the 4 & 5 inch stacks we offer, because they can slide up from the bottom. BUT the 6 and 7 inch ones will only work with our 6" and 7" miter or straight cut stacks.(do to the fact our stacks reduce down to 5" o.d.)
