$4.629 Diesel at ingles in Madison

Would have been $4.599 if I had bought with Ingles gift card... Looks like diesel has gone up around here, most places are $4.799 and up.

What decent prices are y'all seeing and where?

I went 597.5 miles, 28.103 gallons filled as usual until it foams up neck, = 21.261 mpg. Overhead consistently in the 24's. So 3 mpg optimistic.

Seems like my overhead is off more than the norm, or is that much difference common?

Just a little better than last tank of 21.1.

This was about 1/2 with extra 150-200 lbs in bed, about 1/3 with passengers in truck. A bit less conservative driving than last tank, trying not to be so slow starting that I tick off other drivers, but no mountain driving.

The Opti-Lube Summer Blend I ordered a few days ago should be here soon, will run it in this tank and see if any improvement.

Are those average or best prices? Seems like mid-west and TX always cheaper for some reason. Maybe gulf oil drilling and TX refining, less shipping cost???
