Bought $4.49 diesel last night

Only 16 cents more than what I pay for off road for my tractors.

Kroger just outside Jefferson, reflecting 10 cent discount with Kroger card.

427.2 miles, 20.229 gallons, have not crunched in calculator yet- I think right at 21. Despite 25 miles pulling about 1000 lb trailer ( felt like not there), close to 300 lbs tools plus 250 lbs passengers in truck much of time, over 150 lbs motorcycle engines in bed for 1/3 of this, and lots of hills up to Dahlonega and back.

21 is .5 mpg better with the tailgate spoiler.

Coming home from Dahlonega last night I turned off the air and saw close to a 1 mpg improvement on overhead. I had no idea a/c made that much difference. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

$4.69 was best I had seen, in Farmington and Bishop, and at Covington Kroger, until now.

I just fueled up last night @ $4.95. most pumps here are still up @ $5 or just over, $5.09, $5.11.

Funny though how each day crude is still setting new highs, yet the diesel pump prices seem to have run up about as high as they're gonna go, some have even retreated a hair. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but could this be price manipulation? Past couple of months, pump prices were moving up in accordance with the market barrel prices. Now, in recent weeeks, diesel pump prices seem to have stabilized, yet each day the barrels are @ new highs.

I noticed just the opposite when running my AC. If I drive like an old man I average about 15 - 15.8 on the highway with my 4:10's at 65 MPH...when I crank on the AC and drive like a mad man my MPG keeps going up, throw the boat behind it and again is goes up.

I have noticed a 2 mpg drop when I use discount fuel (grocery store fuel). I get the best performance and mileage from Shell fuel.
