Another Ft Benning / Phenix City fella here.

Where's everybody been hiding. I knew I wasn't the only one rollin' coal on 185 and Victory Drive.

You guys know that Friday nights are test and tune nights at the Phenix City Dragstrip, right.

$10 to get in and $15 if you wanna run. Just show up, no special equipment necesary........except yo azz!!!

You can run as many times as you want, jsut get back in line. You'll get a time slip for each run.

Just go up 280/431 into Pheinx City and turn left onto 80. About 2.5 miles up the road, you'll hit a light with 13th Street BBQ on the left.

Turn down there and follow that road nearly to the end and you'll run right into the track.

PM me if ya wanna meet up and play a bit.

If you could send me a link to your buddys listing for his house if he has one so i could look at pictures, or if you could tell me about it that would be cool too. We have a realtor at remax already, her name is Sherry Carona. We were looking at buying over in or around Phenoix City or west columbus, or somewhere on the outside of colubus but not to far of a drive to fort benning. Any info that you could shoot my way would be cool. Thanks

If it's in Columbus, make sure it's higher up than Exit 6 on 185.

Property is cheaper if you go out toward Cusseta, out toward RTB.

Over on my side, in Phenix City, just get past either the Walmart on 280/431 or at least 3 miles up 80 and you'll be in decent neighborhoods.

My drive in is about 16 miles. Ain't bad at all.

great information and so true.. you will not want anything south, east or west along Macon Rd...

But the more north you go in columbus the more you are going to spend...

you can always go to REALTOR.com - Real Estate Listings & Homes For Sale

and do a search for Smiths Al.. just a little North of Phenix City with good schools.. and cheaper than Norht Columbus

thanks for the information guys. we got a list that we are going to look at when we get in on the 15th of this month. And they are all in the areas that you guys are talking about. We were really looking on the Phenoix City side. If you guys hear of anything in any of the areas that you are talking about please let me know. We are ready to look at alot of houses before we buy. Thanks again guys.

Fuel isn't too bad on the way down.

If you can, wait until you get down 85 South to the Newnan exit. There is a truck stop there (one of the bog ones, can't remember the name) that usually has decent prices.

It's like exit 41 or so. 1/4 of a tank will get you there easy.

well im here boys , we rolled in on sunday night. sorry i havent gotten on here but the internet out at uchee creek was dial up and it wouldnt let me sign in on here. And ive been house hunting.

I got the truck . put $103.00 from 1/4 tank to fill er up. God did it feel good to get back into it, after driving the wifes toyota camry all the way across the US.

We move into our house on monday, but we dont get any of our goods till July 1st. . Oh well, but we have a nice home over in phenix city. In the autum creek subdivision.

When is the W. GA chapter gonna get a name and get together to meet everybody and get something going. Or heck anything in GA. going on at all soon or not. I read in one of the other threads that some boys might have some rollers up and running soon. Anyways let me know.

Sounds like you are right around the corner from me.

You turn right there by the Wendy's right?

I'm down 80 just bit farther. Turn up by JR's Steakhouse and I'm up that way.
