Which programmer?

Hey Guys, which programmer would you recommend for my situation? I've got a stock '05 with 156K on it. I don't really need more power. I'd like better mpg and be able to monitor different things.

I've been checking the classifieds here and craigslist for a used one. It seems from reading that an Edge has to be specific for 04.5-05 and Bully Dog will work with most any? What's your thoughts on buying used?

I realise I am resurecting an old thread, but I see it was never responded to.

I just picked up a Bully Dog unit from a local guy for $100. Already had the "Crazy Larry" tune on it. So far so good, no real complaints by me. It was an easy install and the truck runs great! I also have a BD Diesel Boost Fooler installed. This seems to be a normal setup when running Bully Dog products.

My truck has 154K on it and is an '06 2500 QC Auto 4x4.

Ill add to it . I run a Edge Juice with attitude with the hot code. I like it really well the display shows 4 guages at a time and there are plenty of gauges to choose from. The gauge is also capable of performance test, o-60, 1/4 mi, 1/2 mi. I have an older model gauge but hope to upgrade to the cts (larger screen/ color/ touchscreen) in the future.

Used edge is no problem, edge will still stand behind there product. I love my edge on my truck! Im at 142,000 miles edge has been on truck since 10,000 mile mark. I had to wait from november (when i bought my truck) 04' till febuary 05' for edge to come out with a box for the 05' trucks, or i would have had edge from mile#1. As wirh any peformance tuner you will want to do a aftermarket lift pump along with a air filter upgrade for best results. Good luck!
