Almost ready for the dyno

I just got back from the diesel shop and had my new vp44 installed and my valves adjusted. I didn't put on a new lift pump on yet cause mine is still good but when I do and for you 2nd gen 24v guys to know, Dodge makes an in tank lift pump now for us due to the fact they got tired of the fail rate of the lift pump on the motor. The in tank one is what they run now on the 04 and up dodges. Through Dodge the kit is $550 but you can get them on ebay for around $350. So when mine slows down you can guess what I will be doing but before the dyno comes I need to get my smarty bought and then I will turn the drums.

I wouldn't waste any money on the intank setup, many of them have failed too, and with some mods you will pulling the pressure down quick. Look into a FASS or Walbro setup. I would replace the stocker even before the smarty. Do you have a gauge to even see what pressure is being supplied. That would suck to burn up your vp44.

Yeah I have a fuel guage on the filter housing just so I can look and see what my idle pressure but I am in the process of getting an electric guage in the truck with a steering column pod. I know that fass is good and don't know much about walboro but I'm not gonna go on here say about the intank lift pump unless someone that is running it can tell me straight up that it is no good. I ain't concerned with 150gph or 95 gph as long as my pressure doesn't dip below 8psi. To tell the truth I really wanted a scheid lightning injection pump but this truck is still a daily driver and I still need my longevity for now and that is why I went with a stock pump.
