So how hard(and expensive) would it be to put a built 48RE in my 95 12V 5spd man

Sorry for the delay in aswering this question. We do not do any transmission upgrades, but Suncoast does. I recently rode in one of there trucks, a 2001 3500 with a 68rfe in it, So anything should be possible. Ask for Ron - 1800-868-0053. Good luck. Scott
