*Winter cold fronts - NS

Winter is here and blended fuel is upon us, be ready for a drop in your MPG I have a place that I can get to occasionally that sells #2 year round and with an additivefor anti-gell have had luck down to -42* so far, I firmly believe in additives for several reasons.

Centane improver- Pays for the cost of the additive with increased MPG.

Added lubricity- with todays lower sulfer fuel an additive is a must to get the lubricity for the vital fuel pumps and associated system.

Anti-gell- self explanitory, gelled fuel can be a PITA and costly.

Cheers, Kevin

And I thought I described it so well

On the front grill you have the 4 sections where the air flow comes thru to contact the intercooler and radiator, basically they are 4 plastic covers that fit the holes just right and plug the flow of cold air. Here is a pic but mine are a solid smoked plastic.

So there like nose plugs almost? I get it now. I didn't know if you were talking about a block heater or what. I don't really have to worry about it in Florida. It's supposed to be back in the 80's next week

28* this AM.
Kevin, how much did you have to shell out to for the LUND pieces. I was thinkin' of making my own with some smoked lexan I've got, but If I can get ready made for reasonable money I might go that route.

72 clams from NAPA, that was in 01 so I am sure they are more now but well worth it, they have little clips and just clip onto yer honeycomb grill, the ones fer the 04.5 have studs that stick thru to the inside and ya hafta put a washer and a wingnut on them but its not too tough.

Cheers, Kevin

Stylin'

There a lot of styles out there now. I have seen everything from the smoky, chrome and some even have flames or fangs like you used to only see on the semis. They are a little extreme for me but to each their own

heres a better thought... 1/4" lexan, between the radiator and intercooler. works well and doesnt god up the front of the truck. will be up on the link in my sig next week..

also keeps intercooler cool.
