I made mine out of plexiglass like mentions earlier but it aint out of 1/4 that stuff is PRICEY...... Mine cover the entire radiator with 2 3" holes in the middle.... warms up much faster than before.... can't beat it for 25 bucks for a 3X3 foot peice of plexiglass...

I was asked; How I attached the winter front to the grill on my previous post; so thought I'd post it here in case anyone else is interested.

I made backing strips out of 1/8" x 1" aluminum flat stock so it was flexible but stiff enough for support. I drilled and tapped for 10-28 screws.
The screws are 1 1/2" stainless allen heads with flat washers tightened just enough to keep the thing in place and jam nuts on back to keep them from falling out.

Also I saved the templates as .pdf files so they can printed if I need them again later if anyone is interested in them. They are just a rough template though might need a little tweeking.

You wouldn't happen to remember a part number on that for say, an 06?

[quote=KCKODIAK;141462]Aw heck I'm using a bud select 30pk box to block the cold air and no problems so far this winter. I do check my temp guage to make sure there is no problem.QUOTE]

Glad im not the only one. We got a winter front, and it dont do diddly squat. We ended up puting 2 pieces of cardboard infront of the IC. Watch egt's and temp guage, its fine... Unless the engine fan comes on, your fine.

LOL we were racing another truck one time out on I71 and the fan kicked in and one of our friends that was in the truck asked us what that noise was that sounded like another turbo kicked in.... You could feel it pull the truck down from 110mph...

What you think it's been cold in Mason City? come out my way as we get and extra 3-10 colder then you do it town and a bit more wind out in the wide open due to a lack of trees and buildings FYI, we have hit -15 or colder the past two mornings
