After using several, I like the AEM dryflows. They're about $40 standalone, or ou can get the brute force intake kit if you like for several hundred more. The filter byt itself will clamp on to your intake hose using a short piece of 4" pipe to make the union. I clamped mine right to the turbo inlet...but i have the room for that where the primary is mounted. If you look at my garage don't let it confuse you. That one is a K&N I had temporarily on there while I was waiting for the AEM. I haven't taken any pictures of that one yet, but it has the right size outlet, unlike the K&N did.

Will some one please post a pic of this? What size holes did you drill? Was it substantial enough to feel the extra power or no? Thanks, Justin

hey guys just put my BHAF in today. I like it so far. Haven't gotten to make any MPG tests yet but it sounds pretty good! Anyways, what did ya'll do about the bolts sticking up through the fenderwell that are gonna poke through my new filter?? I stuck some peices of cardboard on top of them for just long enough to try out the BHAF but it can't stay that way... lol

I did similar to Gary, but used a 1" drill...I also out in about 15 holes (three sides and the bottom)... I wouldn't say there was any power increase, but it definately improved mileage...I still got to clean my Amsoil TruFlow foam filter so I can reinstall it... steved |

I just got my Blackstone report back. I used the standard media filter for 6000 miles, ended up with 8ppm silicon. The 15 ppm that was analyzed may be from using that filter in an area where the dust was very high. The PG7 is recommended for off road and dusty areas. I used mine as I normally would at any other time of the year. So to all who use the standard media filter AFE, don't be afraid to use it due to one person's results. You have to use it and find out for yourself. Derek |

[quote=NEOREGON Bomber;48571]Was running a Fleetguard BHAF (part number AH19037) with an Outerwares prefilter before I recently installed the AEM Dryflow synthetic. Was getting 3-4 PPM for silicon on 8500-9000 oil changes with Schaeffers 15W-40. QUOTE] "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Also, I was running 15-20ppm Si on my 7500 mi intervals with the Airraid Drop in. It's gone, replaced with Amsoil Ea filter. Anxious now to do a UOA on it and see how it looks.
