Oh yes ol wise one but the key to remember is I forgot to tell you it had to be within the turbo efficiency range in order to maintain its level of accuracy.

That 1 PSI for 10 HP may be a good rule of thumb for guesstimates - but after I added my bigger injectors, BHAF and 4 inch exhaust, I got LOTS more HP, and only picked up 2 PSI boost max. I think that after a certain point, efficiency, timing and other operation parameters can offset or slew guesstimates based upon PSI boost alone...

Either that, or I was LOW on power before I made the later mods - but I *did* dyno 311 HP and 827 TQ before the mods...

OR, to put it into clearer perspective - if I take a 1 HP Briggs and Stratton engine, and give it 30 PSI boost, will that make it a 300 HP lawnmower engine?

Not enough - only about 26 PSI max - the dynos typically don't load the trucks enough to develop max boost - certainly not like a 7% grade towing our 5th wheel!

Before the last mods, I was seeing 32 PSI when towing hard - now I see a max of anout 34 PSI - and LOTS more power on same grades and loads.

The 32 to 34 fits in well with the 311 HP but the 26 has me

Like I said, and suspect - the 1 PSI per 10 HP is a good general rule of thumb, but other contributing factors make it hard to use it as an absolute.
