Thanks,
I saw your explaination and was like 'duh"! But I can't get it to work out mathmatically. Here's my numbers:
Front weighs - 4480 LBS
Tire rating at - 3195 LBS / ea
3195 x 2 = 6390
6390 / 4480 = 1.426
1.426 x 80 psi = 114 psi !!
If I divide 4480 by 6390 I get .701 or 56 psi......
So, now I am tired and I can't figure out what I did wrong. I am pretty sure the answer should be from 65 to 75 psi.
Any help you could provide would be great!
Thanks,
Dan

Or.... for those of us math-challenged folks, just get a piece of chalk from your kids' toybox and draw a line across the tread side to side and drive the truck a short distance and see where it wears off first, then adjust pressure up if it wears off the edges first, or pressure down if it wears off the center first. Of course, front tires will differ from rears!

Synthetics are great. I've also fond that not useing my cruise control(esp. when pulling) helps a ton.
