Detroit MBE900 in a dodge?

See their is a few people out there jamming some of the old jimmys in chevs and dodges, but has anyone done it with one of the newer engines?

Backed with a 10 speed it would make a decent toy hauler!

Can't fault a Jimmy for power, reliability, and durability. But you can fault them for guzzling almost twice the fuel. About the same efficiency as a souped up gas engine.

The MBE 900 is a 7.2 liter Mercedes Benz Engine, so parts are expensive.

And as a 7.2 liter, the highest power rankings it has are 250 HP and 660 ft lbs of torque. It does make peak torque at 1200 RPM, though.

I don't believe they are common rail yet, they are still using an individual mini-injection pump for each cylinder, so I'd find it hard to believe that aftermarket programming would be that prevelant, effective or even existant.

It wouldn't be a bad engine to have, I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to replace an ISB with one though. The ISB is the best engine in its class, bar none.

I am not obsessed with Sarah Jarosz.
