24 valve and 12 valve

Ok guys i have a 24 valve and my friend has a 97 12 valve..i went for a ride in his yesterday and his is ALOT quieter...my 24 valve sounds like a tractor compared to his..i love the way mine sounds but is it normal??? Are they normally louder than a 12 valve??

Running 2 stroke will really help quiet the sound down, smooths the engine out a lot.

Also had my valved adjusted back to spec and they were pretty far out my mechanic told me and she just purrs at idle now.

I didn't know that it (loud sound) was an issue. I was a bit disapointed when they went to CR (just in sound, not that they upped the power).
Besides, the rattle is a good indicator to the wife that I'm home from work and she can get supper out on the table. :thumbsup
