Although Duels look good. They tend to radiate signal from the sides of the vehicle more than to the front/rear. Yes they are a little more hassle to tune and you will need a dummy load on one to tune the first then switch dummy load to second once tuned to get the other. This will be hard to get a 1.5 or lower match unless you have 108 inckes between the. most antennas are 1/4 wave length and need to be spaced 1/4 wavelength. (108 inches) to get a proper tune.. I go center cab single base load and be done with it.
pic of where my cb is.

ive been into radios for years now and antenna tune and quality is 90% of a good talkin radio.
Just my .02 good luck

yea ive read on it a little bit, everything i saw jus said 48 inchs apart tho...id definantly make sure i had a dummy load tho...i think thats why the cb ive got now dont work so good, i didnt know anything about em when i got it, ended up with a county cop, high school history teacher, and a guy the develops mobile ethanol plants tryin to figure out how to hook it up right, ended up takin it to a cb shop n the guy there didnt have any luck either by then as far as gettin it to work any better....as for where your cb is...looks fine, im just wonderin if ya cant make use of the slot in the dash right there above it

I have a bench seat, I just put it between the driver and middle seat and ran the mic up to my sun visor. No modifying anything and it looks good, I just popped off that plastic cap under the driver seat and all wires come from there so they are all hidden, except the mic cord of coarse. I'll go take some pic's. Everyone asks if that cord gets in my way or annoy me but it really doesnt, but you can always get a clip and put it on the dash somewhere. Here ya are:

Its a pain, but i pulled the head liner for my roof mount and ran it from there down the rear pillar's and then under the carpet to the front. took a while but the effort was worth it as there is no trace of coax or wires, cosmetically, it looks great.
ps. you will need a so239 elbow at the bottom og your roof mount to get the coax horizontal in the liner for a better fit.

good luck

actually - its the magnet mount. i didn't really feel like drilling into the roof.

does the cable go down along side the rear window and then under the cab or does it go into the door crevice and i guess then under the cab and into the firewall?
