valves and fuel mileage

I have an 06 4wd 3500 six speed its getting 17.5 with the hyper tech max enery its got 116000 on it would the valve adjustment effect the fuel mileage cause it seems kid of low

they get 20 miles to the gallon but they drive like a 90 year old

Yup. I can get 20-21 on the highway driving 65mph. As soon as I hit 67-68, it drops to about 18mpg. Just around town and back and forth to work I get about 17.5mpg. All hand calculated. These trucks really vary alot. Try really pussyfooting around for a week. And don't go over 65 on the highway. See if that makes a difference. Get a programmer of some kind. That will help some too.

thats about what my 03 gets, the only way i can get close to 20 mpg is to drive 60 or below

when should the valves be adjusted???

not quite sure. i've heard many different intervals-every 30k-every 50k-every 100k. so i'm not really for sure but when i had my truck fixed last week they adjusted the valves so i'm good.
