Drive pressure
Im kind of familiar with the concept but would like someone to teach me about drive pressure. Where does the d/p gauge go? What is ideal drive pressure? Is the drive pressure ratio d/p over boost or the other way around? blah blah blah. Thanks :thumbsup

all i know for sure is it asn't to exceed boost pressure. and i'd assume you put the sensor like right next to the egt probe on the manifold.

Copper would get soft from the heat and probably break. If there was a leak somewhere, and the hot gasses started to escape, that would wreck the plastic. However the small diameter and length of the ss line should do a good job of limiting flow and temperature. Here's another thought, which half of the manifold to tap into? As far as I know the front half does not get the benifit of a wastegate, so the DP's would be diferent in the two halves of the manifold. This may not apply to the later CR motors.

How do you calculate the ratio? boost/drive or drive/boost?

You use a standard boost gauge to read drive pressure as well. If your running 50psi of boost at the intake, it is ideal to be reading 50psi of drive pressure from the exhaust manifold.

I know, but how do you calculate the ratio? What goes on top of the fraction? The boost number or the d/p number?
