fan belt replacement 2007 3500 6.07 diesel.

Does the idler pulley have a lock on it and how does it work? I am changing the serpentine belt. thanks for any help.

I have not taken a look at the 6.7 idler, but most of them have either a 3/8 or 1/2 inch square hole that you put a ratchet or breaker bar in to take the pressure off of them and install the belt. See if there is a diagram under the hood.
