I just switched back to rotella T from Amsoil. I used to run Royal Purple in my Ford but never really noticed anything special about it. I've switched oils many times but always end up back using Rotella. I do like Amsoil's e0 filters though.

I run Royal Purple in my Jeep, it stopped the valve ticking I had. But I always ran Rotella in my diesels and liked it. Oh and always used WIX filters.

Valvoline 15w40 Cummins Blue and Napa Gold filter. Thats whats in mine and change it every 10,000 miles. Advance Auto Parts carries the oil.

I know WIX is the O'Reilly's house brand, too. I think. But I had no idea that NAPA gold was made by them. I never go to NAPA, the one by my house has horribly customer service. Glen, try looking into the Franz oil filter. I haven't done much research, but it seems like a good deal. *Anatomy of a Frantz toilet paper bypass oil filter - A

I get my filters @ fleetfilter.com and buy 3 or 4 at a time and it's much cheaper that buying them local.

I just bought a Frantz. Great, simple, old fashioned design that works.

Since i got my truck ive been putting Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40 and using Fleetguard filters. My last oil change i went full Amsoil and i dont thing i will be doing that again. Amsoil syn oil and filter. I went to Scheids and got 4 Fleetguard filters and will be going back to Valvoline oil but i think i will go for the synthic oil this time just to keep it in my truck. Ive never had any problems with any oils in my truck. Fleetguard and synthic oil just gives me piece of mind.
