Which injection pump?

Howdy! I have a 2001 24v and my injection pump is about to kick the bucket. So I am trying to find the best, reliable pump as a replacement. I have a banks big hoss level 5, quick-turbo assembly, high ram intake, and banks monster exhaust. So its a pretty mild truck but I was thinking about putting a VP upgrade, but not real sure what brand or what model? Thanks for the help guys

There is a line of Bosch OEM VP44's that are pretty reliable. The VP's are known to be somewhat troublesome. You can get a low pressure sensor light that allows you to know when your Pump is expierencing low pressure. You can also look into systems such as FASS which may help. If your wanting to go the high performance route... We trust going with BD Power's line of High Performance VP44's.

well would upgrading be a good move for me? or should I just keep a stock injection pump?

A farmboys diesel stock replacement pump is the way to go. I have one on my truck, make over 500 rwhp and never a problem... The monster vp's are for the very high end, injectors will be required along with cross over tubes..

Hot Rod vp's are for thiose that need the pump to fuel the truck for them.. ie not a good programmer or is under 500 hp. A hot rod vp does nothing for a truck over 500hp..

The stock VP takes care of the low hp as well as the bigger hp trucks...

IMO just get a SO VP...it'll do all the fueling that the Banks will ask for...

i like my II SO pump, but i'm not gonna knock on FBD's stuff either...

For most people a standard VP44 is a great option. To get more fuel than it will handle takes a good chunk of change....Turbo, Built trans, injectors, box etc. Stock pump will keep you fueled to over 500HP.
