The problem is that China and India subsidize their fuel so until they stop subsidizing the people are going to continue to increase their usage. The US demand is down but demand continues to increase elsewhere. Also, the reason the prices at gas stations a few miles from each other fluctuate so much is probably due to local taxes on the fuel. Stick with the places that have low or no local fuel tax. 4.29 in Mesa..... It's hard to get excited about that when I was paying in the 2's a few years ago.

It ranges around here from 4.29 to 4.68 or so....we have both of those prices in about a 20 mile radius here in central KS, I have no idea how that really works. Seems bogus to me though. Needs to be about $2 then I will feel better

correct

Yes, India and China do subsidize, but there was an article recently on the net that stated China was going to have to lower the subsidy because it was set when price hovered around $3.00 a gallon. Remember they are paying the same as we are theoretically for the raw oil, and unlike the US, most of China runs on Diesel. By the way $4.31 in Nogales. Haven't tried Mexican Diesel yet but I understand the border towns have ULSD.

I left Plano Tx around 530 pm, there it was between $4.65 - $4.72. When I i got near my my house in Houston the lowest I saw was $4.05. Here in Houston it dropped around 12 cents over the weekend. Hopefully it drops everywhere else.

EXACTLY RIGHT!!! Paying the national debt ($9,300,000,000,000) to the World Bank and the IMF, one gallon at a time.......

Oh, and it IS only for the run-up to the elections. For those that have SOMEWHAT of a memory, remember the months immediately preceding the run-up to the last Congressional elections. Gasoline and diesel both dropped steadily until the elections passed and then within a month after, BOOM....back to work and back to making BIG bucks for every drop of crude they can squeeze out. Things will never change, as long as we keep voting for "party" people, be it red or blue, it doesn't matter. They're all bought off and as corrupt as the next guy. Ron Paul is the only real Congressman left on the hill. And NONE of us should be happy to be paying anything over $2.00 per gallon for fuel.
