Is this a good run for what I got?

I went to the track with cumminalong (Rich) and ran the truck. The fastest time I ran was a 10.00, and that was on the 1/8 mile. The video is in my sig. Im the red truck.

Yeah I know............cumminalong's truck is faster then mine.

Seems about right. I honestly think your truck should run high 9s easy.

To give you something to compare it to, I ran a 10.17 at 70.73mph in the 1/8th with my truck a couple weeks ago. Thats with a 6sp, stock clutch, and 22.5s which are heavy. Also with the small amount of mods in my sig. So I think your truck should be a little faster, but it's very, very, respectable right now.

All those runs were on setting 5 on the edge. I wonder if it might have been defueling because of egts. next time im going to run it on 4 or maybe 3 to test it out. But I thought it should be in the 9s atleast.

Ray,

My first runs there were mid 9's in my truck. After some tweeks with the Smarty and adjusting the Edge DOWN, I've dropped over a second, almost a second and a half.

My first runs were with the Smarty on Revo 6 and Edge 4. It was hitting the defuel points too quick and my times were high.

Once I backed it off a bit, to #2 on the Edge and loaded the TNT program, my times started dropping.

Where I really picked up the most time was when I used the Smarty to get rid of the stock Tq Management. That set the launches up a lot harder. I also added a bit of timing and rail pressure in with the Smarty and it's help keep the EGT's manageable.

The times will drop. Just need to make a few more runs.......that's why it's called Test and Tune.

run the edge on 5 if you have the stock hy35, run the low end fueling on 1 or 2 for stock boost (21ish). see what your egts are. also, set the defuel for the egt's at 1400. how much boost are you making with the j hook. i ran my edge on 5x5 with 26 psi and stayed at about 1350 for egt's.

you can also display if fuel is getting cut, in the display options there is "backdown %". i use it for tuning all the time, 0% is full fuel cut, 100% is no fuel

28-30 is about it for the hy30, you're prolly hurting performance. try dropping down to 26-28 and run on 5x5 or 6x3.... 6x5 and i get pretty hot with the hx40
