6.7 turbo sticking??

I just got my 2007.5 MegaCab out of the shop where they replaced the Diesel Particluate Filter. But it didn't totally fix the problem. The mechanic told me the hesitation I have is caused by the turbo sticking - and that they won't get the right tool to clean the turbo for a week.
So I'm driving around with an intermittent hesitation that's sometimes a major bog down.
Any suggestions as to what I might run through the tank to help?
Thanks,
John M

Run the EB to try and clean the slide on the turbo.

EB usage

Thanks 3500Dually. I assume that EB is the Exhaust Brake - and I will certainly give that a shot.
I use the EB frequently, and have had Diesel Particulate Filter (2) and now turbo-slide problems. I was wondering if I may use it too much - and that's giving me problems.
But I know nothing about the mechanical action of the turbo, so I will take your suggestion and give it a try.
TX,

Final fix for 55000 mile 6.7 liter

I got my truck back from the dealer last week. A total of $9,000 warranty work was done, which included a new turbo, new DPF. It's fixed, and runs great. I just hope that if another turbo goes, it happens before I turn 100k miles.
The tech took me down the road in the truck, with the diagnostics hooked up. I never realized that the engine goes through a regen cycle to keep the DPF clean.
Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket plug-in unit that would show the exhaust temps and regen process steps?

ur better off ripping it all off if you want it to last and get better mpg. I couldnt afford the downtime and the small percentage of mpg is worth it for the miles i do. Let alone it has noticable difference when towing heavy. Them regens will kick you in the butt and make your truck a unsafe dawq going up them hills. Sometimes I swear ive lost power for 15 seconds. Ive just removed my cooler cause that was clogged and now it runs better then ever. Ive got rid of the dpf egr along time ago and my cooler was still clogged. WOW!! These trucks werent meant to have this crap on. wether its a grocery getter or a worker. its gonna clog either way and more down time is less money. My cents

i had the check engine light come on in my 6.7 and they said they needed to clean the turbo...like you said took about a week to order...i just never went back and had it done...

iv had it where the Jake gets stuck on or feels like it does...and even pushing the gas...it Jakes harder and louder...i think it has something to do with the 'dirty turbo'

When I went down this last time, at 55000 miles for the DPF, I considered putting a new exhaust system on the truck, since the DPF costs $1800. And I needed the truck in a week.
Once I found out that it was all covered under the 100k mile warranty, I figured I'd let Dodge pay for the fix.
It's a good thing I waited, because it ends up that the trubo also needed replacement - all under warranty.
So, I'll wait to rip all the emmissions stuff off until after 100k miles!
.. which at the rate I'm going is in one year.
