TDR Rant...

I'm a newby by mosts standards to the Dodge and Cummins pickups so last May when I was gathering information for my upcoming purchase I joined the TDR. At the time I was pretty impressed, the publication was much more than what I thought it was going to be and I found some good information on there. I also joined the Cummins Forum and DieselTruckResource about the same time. Well over the past year I found that I was contributing more information that I had learned just trying to learn the Dodge and Cummins than I was getting from TDR so I decided not to renew my membership. Now, while I'm new to the Dodge and Cummins I am not new to forums. Every forum that I have ever been on always has a free side and members side. Of course, the members side always has other things that the free membership doesn't but the free side on the sites that I have belonged to always had access to most of the site. I am a free member here on the Cummins Forum and I have excellent access to most everything especially the vast amount of member knowledge. NOT on TDR, once my membership expired I lost access to 99% of the forum. I can't even go back in and delete the photos that I've added, edit my Signature and Truck Profile, or view my past posts. That to me is just rediculous. I can now only see the first post on discussions over 7 days old.

Needless to say, I will no longer be visiting TDR. I have been spending most of my time on Cummins Forum for the last several months because of the information and members here so I guess I wont miss it, I just found it irritating.

I'll get off my rant now...

Thanks CF!! :thumbsup

I find it annoying when a Google search lands me at TDR and I can only see the original post and no replies, thus far it is the only automotive forum that I've seen setup like that.

Good info or otherwise I'll never sign up over there.

I was looking something up yesterday and it put me on a TDR page. I couldn't see any of the answers so I immediately went back to search. Stupid setup when there is this forum and a few others that have a great group of people that we have access to on the free side.

Seeing the fact they don't allow you to view turned me off from even registering.
