Forget the 2790 filter, guys are running the new 4090 Amsoil universal filter and are liking them. They flow more air than a 2790 BHAF, are reusable with just a little bit of compressed air, and do NOT use oil like an AFE or K&N that doesn't filter the air well.

Plus, they are about the same price as a 2790 at the parts store and can be delivered to your door.

are they as big as the BHAF? can we still utilize the heat shield and stock intake tube?

Base OD 6", Flange ID 4", flange length 1.75", media heigth 9", top OD 5". It's pretty darned big, but not as big around as a 2790. You should be able to use your existing heat shield and your intake tube will work fine.

You better give us flow and filtration efficiency numbers before you start making claims like its a big as a BHAF...

I've been running a Walbro 392 since 2000. How long did your fuel pump last ?

For one I never said it was physically as large as a 2790, infact I clearly state that it isn't, and beyond that posted it's exact size.

The 2790 only flows about 680cfm, thats not really all that much air. I will have flow and efficiency numbers tommorrow. I will call tech support in the morning.

Be sure to get the pressure for which those flow ratings are for too. A flow number without a corresponding pressure is USELESS.

Unfortunately, Amsoil has not released air flow specs yet. The line of filters has just been released and test results are still in process. Sorry for the lack of data, but it should be available soon as more filters are out there and Amsoil gets further along with testing.

We are testing a few ourselves. I have sold a few, and we are testing them after replacing the 2790. I will post results.

I don't mean to dis your product, but in air filters, larger is generally better, larger giving more air flow and more dust holding ability. Never the less, I will keep an open mind and await your numbers.
