i noticed today that my oil pan and the back there is one bolt that is wet with oil. how could i fix this? new oil pan gasket? what is the part number for one? i want to fix it before i put some amsoil in it
Back the bolt partially out and apply a small amount of RTV around the threaded part of the bolt all the way up to the underside of the head. Tighten the bolt up and you should see a small amount of the sealant ooze out around the head of the bolt. That should do it. While your under there tighten the rest of the pan bolts but don't overtighten them.
