Hi y'all.

Do any of you know if drilling my exhaust myself for an EGT probe is enough for dealer to void my warranty?

FWIW, I also got suckered in to the "extended warranty" as well.

TIA,

I might be wrong, but I have heard not to drill before turbo because the probe could break and get sucked into the turbo causing damage. One topic I read said to install right after turbo and just add 200 degrees to what your gauge is reading.

My dealer told me if I drill the manifold for the probe and it cracks he could not get it covered/replaced under warranty. Now once you install the pyro any other dealership you take it to for warranty work while away from home will look very close to see if you use a power box like Edge, Bully Dog etc and as long as you don't you should not have any problems just having the EGT/ Pyro installed.
