here I got one for you guys my buddies think that one of their 1.8T 5/6 speed golf's (stock) would beat my truck (in sig) in a race I say BS what do you guys think.
I also just added traction bars again I say:lol3: bring it and I walk all over him
sounds like you got a nicely modified CTD, those golfs are quick tho. Try it and make sure your on the left side when racing so you can smoke him out! I love doing that. I'd say you got him beat! good luck.
I've actually raced one in my old truck (D-Max). You'll eat him up off the line and on pulls but on top end, you'll lose. I always tell those little quick cars that beat me in a race "Wanna hook up and pull?", I get the obvious response back. I gotta feel vindicated some way....
You will win easy. I have a '06 Jetta with this in it and if it is stock you should leave it behind up to any speed. If he has chip, injectors, etc. you might run into trouble.
golfs are pretty quick, two of my buddies have them, i was on my bike one night following one of them on the freeway, he was divin quick, i was up to 120 to catch up to him. his car will actually be featured in eurotuner magazine in a few months, mostly for looks though
them Mercedes diesels SUCK!!! my brother has one to go to work, and it is ok on diesel, but reliability is a nightmare, all the time he calls my other brother," Hey, can I borrow your car, my bug broke down, and it needs a new injector pump and a timing chain." it is a good thing he's a diesel mechanic for W.W. Williams.
Oh, well I dunno then. I'm used to the TDI in my driveway.
