Im Dying For Some Feedback

How often do I change my oil, fuel filters, anything else I should service?

I dont know anything about the truck... Should I ask the pervious owner " If I cant find him"?

I wonder why he got rid of it? How can I find him, the bank has the title....?

I need better gas milage and power, the truck is so slow compared to the 05 H.O. i test drove.

I drove 250 miles home and only got like 14-15.5 highway driving at 80MPH = 75 is the speed limit.

The truck doest even spin the 33'' mudders that came on it when i slap the throttle, and it takes forever to shift gears, and dies when it gets to three grand. but starts easy, drives, idles smooth.

What year truck? Auto? Do you know if the previous owner was using synthetic oil? I'd change it right away,as well as tranny and diff. Engine oil should be changed around 5k depending on driving conditions.
I do the fuel filter every other oil change.

i change mine every 6000 if you want more power do like on your other thread and get a smarty or an edge your not going to spin 33s with an auto stock. get a programer or chip its a different truck than a highout put so do something about it if it bothers you CHIP IT. cummis ideal fuel mileage is going to be around 1850 rpms. i get about 22-23 at 64 mph slow down or pay the price

All good info....

80mph in a brick and mileage will suffer. I'm surprised you got what you stated.

:thumbsup

get rid of the K&N now before it does any more damage, install a fuel pressure gauge you buy a banjo bolt with a 1/8 fpt and replae it with the top banjo bolt on the pump your pressure will be about 10 psi wait untill the pressure starts to drop under load before changing filter you can find parts at geno's garage stay with the fleetguard lf16035 filter for oil i would suguest 15w 40 delo 400 just because all truck stops , wallmart and parts places carry it the 03 is not as bad as the 04.5 up on soot so you can easily go 10,000 miles between changes if you add a good bypass filter you can extend primary filter every 20,000 miles and the bypass filter just change when it clogs up if you choose to go past 20,000 miles between oil changes you will have to take oil samples and let them establish interval change if you need more info on kit contact me . cant spell carl
