Glad you were able to get the pan!
I would check out by the a/c compressor. The wires going to the cutout switch can sometimes rub themselves bare. I think they will rub on the a/c line itself. Check this thoroughly. I went ahead and added split wire loom on mine to prevent them from having this problem. I have to wonder why your mirror heat would quit at the same time. Any possibility you unplugged something under your dash?
(Hey, if you want; PM me about that sd 33 sometime. That would be great if we could work something out!)

How much 2 stroke did you use? I would think it would smoke if you put in more than a qt per tank full.....
How fast are you running to get 19? If your filters are all clean, and you drive as gently as possible, you may be at your highest mileage. For the best you want to run about 65 mph or even less......

General Question

Not sure if this is the place for this question, but I will give it a shot.

What is the first year Dodge made a full 4 door Cummins 2500?
I am looking for my first truck, but I need to be able to bring the family along.
Thanks for any help.

They made a full 4 door back in the 60's but not with a cummins. But the 1st with a Cummins was 2003.

Well,
I say it is '06 because it is the MegaCab!!!! But I am a little 'partial' too!

It is a little confusing as the 3rd gen body that started in '03 had four door handles; but, was still called a QuadCab...... It is still called a QuadCab since it is based size wise on the previous 'two' handle model Quad Cab that was before it. After they started making the four handle model, there were no more two handle quadcabs........

2001 cummins

I just bought this truck from individual,it now has 104K on it after maiden run pulling flat bed trailer not a heavy load.I'm having trouble with maybe tranny or injection ,I don't know.It is running good but while its running at hwy speeds I,m having to kick it over to get it to move at times seems sluggish, then it picks right up again. When I kick her.It has auto tranny and is two wheel drive.

Hitch,
Sorry I didn't see this earlier...
Check your air and fuel filters to make sure they are good. Change as needed! Let us know if this helps.
Do you have gauges? You need to make sure you have enough fuel pressure going to your injection pump to protect it and of course to make the truck run well! Don't drive it with low or without pressure to the VP-44. I think I would suspect the lift pump and then maybe the injection pump. If it is trans it should allow the engine to rev up without putting that power to the wheels and moving the truck, if that makes sense. If the truck seems more like you have let up on the throttle when in fact you haven't, then you can be sure it isn't the tranny (It just seems like there is less power and the engine hasn't rev'ed up).
About the only other thing to check is your grounds on the engine, engine compartment body grounds, and to the APPS sensor. Make sure the wiring connections on the APPS are all good too. Do this before changing components on the engine as ground problems can cause different things to seem bad.
That gives you a bit to check. Let us know what you find and welcome to the forum!

A newbie here, I've read alot of posts and am confused about all the talk about lift pumps, the need for fuel pressure guages and certain year models that are more prone to failure.
Would it be safe to say that no matter what year I purchase I should install a fuel pressure guage and consider getting an after market lift pump? How hard are they to install?
