6.4 Powerstroke

So I went to Walmart this morning, saw this 08 Ford behind me, pull up to the next light he's beside me, looking at me and laughing. Kids gotta be like 19-20, I could see the SCT tuner on the dash and I just chuckled to myself. So the light turns green and he flogs it, I let him have that win to the next light so now he's laughing his off, ok enough of this, next light, 5psi boost launch I break em loose, finally hooks and he's trying to catch up, dude just keeps getting smaller and smaller in the mirror, so here I am at him at the next light. Even with a slipping tranny, the Predator on 100horse and only a 5psi launch an SCT Powerjoke cant hang. Just thought I'd share the highlight of my day with all the rest of the Cummins lovers

I know the feeling my friend. I do it every chance I get. They pull up all smiling, and after I kill them and make them crash from all the smoke im spewing, they look at me with tears in their eyes!

Cummins = Amazing

As part of their "Pickup Truck of the Year" thing (a joke if you ask me) Fourwheeler tested a 08 6.4 F250 Ext Cab and a 08 6.7 2500 Quad Cab Dodge along with a few other trucks - the 6.7 was faster in both the 1/4 mile and 0-60 than the F250, both were 4x4s the Dodge was listed as being 700lbs heavier. They commented that F250 had a difficult time hooking up.

I've driven a 6.4 and wasn't impressed, I couldn't imagine pulling anything with it. And lets not forget about the killer mileage they get....

The observed mileage in the above mentioned test was also lower on the 6.4 although neither were great and they didn't mention (or I didn't see) how they observed the mileage.

From what y'all say, it sounds like they (the magazine) had their minds made up prior to the "tests" for this "Truck of the Year" thingy!!! BS IMHO!!!

Theres a boy around town that's got a 6.0 powerchoke thinks it's kings of the hill. He just hasn't been out the same time i've been yet. but the day will come. The 6.4 gets horrible fuel mileage. And sounds like its gonna blow up when you punch it to the floor.

i had some kid in one of my classes tell me to pull the cummins badge off the ol computer. naturally i assumed he was a powerjoke guy and he said yes, so naturally i figured he was a 6 liter guy as well, he said yes. i asked him if he wanted to drop chains (even though my rig is only 2wd) or go run em and naturlly he declined. for some reason all these sourstroke guys will talk a big game and not do anything about it. they know what the right motor is in their heart i guess. hell i had better luck gettin a buddy of my with a trail blazer SS showin some testicular fortitude.
