Truck choices
So i'm selling my current truck and switching to dodge and have a couple choices to go with.
The truck will be used for work(hauling) around town, depending on which truck would be depending on what I haul but I can get work with light or heavy material so thats fine.
I'm between a 2500 and a 3500 gas or diesel, in a sense I would like to just jump to the conclusion that a 3500 5.9 diesel would be the way to go but, gas prices are alot lower so would I be better off with gas? What kind of costs am I looking at between gas vs diesel, As far as I know gas will have cheaper maintenance but a little more of it, but when the diesel goes out i'm looking at a big bill.
Between the 2500 and the 3500, if I get the 2500 i'll be carrying mostly light material and keeping the normal bed, for the 3500 I would need to eventually get a 8-9' flatbed put on.
With being able to make as much money with a 2500 would that be the better choice? and where is the average breaking point on gas vs diesel to decide.
One of the things pushing me towards a 2500 gas is obviously its the cheapest truck and less money out of my pocket to make the same amount.
Also I was very much leaning to a 2003-2007 for the diesel and depending on the price, newer for gas.
Thanks for the advice and posts, I dont know alot and appreciate the input.
