Difference between Laramie and Big Horn Edition

Could someone please help me and explain the difference... Is one preferred over the other in most cases??

Is the Big Horn Edition like Ford's King Ranch?

Thanks

No. Big Horn is just a grouping of options that most people tend to get on a truck, like fog lights, tow hooks, sliding rear window, Sirius, etc.. Laramie is standard leather, dual zone climate, electronic t-case, different front bumper, power pedals, auto dimming rearview mirror. Thats all I can think of right off the top.

My Big Horn came with sliding rear window, Power adjustable pedals, electronic transfer case, and a sunroof. Everything but Leather and dual climate control.

Like stroke this said, its a package of options. If you look in a Dodge Ram brochure, you will see a list of options in the back. There is a Lone Star package, Big Horn, Thuder Road, etc. Some area available on certain trucks only, and some are available only in certain parts of the states.

BigJCTD, I don't think the electronic T-case was part of the Big Horn package. It could of been a factory added option aside from the Big Horn. I could be wrong though...

I think the Dodge's Laramie package, and Ford's King Ranch package are more comparable, as they offer all the bells and whistles

They are NOT comparable but they're more comparable...the King Ranch is BADASS! The Laramie has leather that feels like vinyl and otherwise has the same interior that the other trucks have. Dual climate control is a joke. Power sliding rear window is nice. I've never used the adjustable pedals. Aside from that, I think the only difference is the 6 disc in-dash cd/mp3 player...

Like everyone has already stated, the Big Horn is just a package of miscellaneous add-ons but if you want something CLOSE to the King Ranch, you'll have to go with a Laramie...

I would say that dodge needs to get their stuff together for the interior, just my opinion. The outdated heater system is aggravating. If your looking for a more basic interior thats still nice, go with the BH, if your looking to throw some money down to impress people or just want all that can be put into it I would say go with the Laramie. I would love to find a Cummins Power Wagon...

And ugly!! I cant stand the color of them...

Power pedals and electronic transfer case arent part of the Big Horn package-mine doesnt have them, and unfortunately the sliding rear window isnt power...my first post is straight from the brochure on whats included. I think I might have forgot the leather wrapped steering wheel though...

My last truck was a 03 F-150 king ranch and I must say what a nice truck!! But I would rather have a TRUCK!!! with a good power train than a real nice interior. Thats why I went with the dodge over a Ford.
