Just Bought a 04 dodge 2500 cummins diesel

Hey well i just bought a used dodge ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 with the cummins diesel and its got 198,000 miles but it seems like it was well taken care of one owner bank repo and it was not a work truck, and i was just wondering if it was well taken care of and i take good care of it how longer will it last? i also have another question my spare tire cable is broken how do i fix it to put my spare back on?

Only time will tell how good it was taken care of. As to the spare.. go buy the hanger assembly from the dealer and reinstall.

I would start saving money for needed repairs.. parts wear out. Change ALL fluids, check rotors, brakes, hoses and don't rag on it and it will last longer. Hope it works for you.

Ive seen 400,000 on well maintained 3rd gen 5.9s. That included a new tranny and various nick nack "wear out" parts
