It all started when i was driving home on the freeway, i started to notice a surge between 60-65. if i held the pedal in the "dead pedal" spot it would out of no where just go like normal. i didnt drive the truck for a day and when i went to start it today, it was missing really bad and smoking white/gray. fuel pressure is good and have a new injection pump. any ideas?
Id unplug the batteries (POS and NEG) for 20 min or so and see if that does the trick.
do you have gauges? I think that the 0216 code tripped the 1693 but Im not real sure... the 1693 code is still a little baffling (edit DTC Diagnostic Trouble Code)
yeah i have boost, pyrometer, trans temp on the pillar, and juice with attitude too! from what i know the 1693 just tells you there is a code but you need a scanner to see it. the 1693 only comes up with key on key off test!
1693 just means there is a code stored in the ECM/PCM
0216 is not a good sign for the VP44
