newbie has a couple questions

I have a couple of questions for anyone who would know. First, is it just the headlights on my Ram or does everyone else have the same issue as im having with um...... THEY SUCK!!!!! They are not bright in any way at all. High beam looks almost the same as low. And for those of you who have done this, please let me know how it worked out for you, have you replaced your interior lights with a diffrent color? Im thinking of going to red because its not hard on the eyes, but you loose your inside visibility, correct?

I have no idea what the problem is with yours. All 3 of my trucks are plenty bright. I just get whatever the cheapest bulb is I can find.

lights on my 03 are great. try replacing the bulbs or cleaning the outside of the housing. as for the red inside. it does not decrease your vision in the truck. red lights are used in the military for reading maps when you dont want to give away your position

My '02 had poor lights. I threw in a set of PIAA bulbs and it is much better now.

A red light in the headliner at night actually is less tiring on your eyes. Freightliners come with a red light on each side of the headliner over your steering wheel to relieve eye stress at night for OTR drivers. When I drove truck I always used them at night. Ran midnights for almost 30 years.

Ram3500Dually, Freightliner is where I got the red light idea from. I work for Ryder. They have them above your head and in the floor board. Maybe you can answer another question, what size bulbs are the map lights in a 2005(since you had one previous to your 2008??

Rosewood, you are the man! Thanks. I thought about just the map lights since i can leave those on without the bigger light. Plus I figured it would look cool

i plan on putting them in my truck. the red light does not illuminate as bright as white does. you can have your inside lights on and see what you are doing, but those on the outside can hardly tell you have light on.
