2006 Dodge Ram 3500 problems?

i have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 laramie automatic 5.9 cummins ... and it drives good other then when i put the truck in park or neutral it revs up very high then gos back down... and when ur at a stop sign and you are holding down the brake.. its like the truck wants to go.. another thing i have noticed is when u put it in drive WITHOUT pushing the gas at all, it gos about 7mph.. that cant be right.. because on my wifes ford coasts at about 2 or 3 mph without accelerating any.. has anyone had this problem .. if so please let me know how it was fixed and what the problem was.. i'm getting very worryed... and i would also like ur thoughts if u have any????????

mine doesnt rev up in park or try to go while stopped, but it the idle speed is 7-10 mph. i know this because a section of the ranch we are drilling on has a speed limit of 5mph and i have to ride the break the whole time

I got the truck fixed finally after all of yhis time... The problem was the torque converter wasblocked in tow haul.. engine thought it was towing the entire time ive ownef it.. no wonder it got 13mpg.. cost me $3500 to get it fixed.. but it was worth it

Geting 19.2 on paper with the fix.. well worth the money and much more pleasurable to drive
