anybody know about these? i'm looking at one for a project of mine. it's a 5.9 I6. weird huh.....
actually, i've heard they are european copies of the cummins. they even made a 4 cyl version.
anybody know if they can be turned up?
where can i get parts?
We had them at work for awhile. Smoked like a banshee new and horrible brakes. All of our drivers had soccer player right legs,no exaggeration. Parts were hard to get 15 yrs ago. On the other hand we replaced them with Hino 4 cylinder ones in the cabover configuration. Most reliable and efficient vehicle I've ever driven.
I looked at buying one a year or so ago... parts are available, but they are expensive and only available thru 2 or 3 distributers.
The one I looked at was cabover I6 with a TF727. It had air brakes. When I found out the cost of a new/rebuilt starter, I decided to look at other trucks.
