Hey im looking at buying an 01 quad cab short box cummins, 5 speed. Couldnt find the 53 badge so i do not think it has the 53 block. It has 74000 miles really clean and seems to run good. they want 19,500 for it does that sound like a good deal?
No that sounds perty high to me 01 , is it a 4x4 . 2500, 3500 ? is it stock..

Too high, shop some more. I bought my '01 for 12,500 with 205,000 on the odometer. Even when you consider the mileage that's still high. Save some money on the cost and you can bomb it right away

My son just got a really clean 01 with 56000 mi. for 13000.00. Either he got a great deal or they want too much for the one your'er looking at. IMO
Bobby
in texas you pay more than in other states. i have an 01, 1 ton 6 speed sport with 120,000 and i paid 17,500 and its price was 22,000 but i know the guy who owned it. and thats a good price. since it has low miles it sounds resonable. is it a 4x4 and is it single or extended cab? slt model or higher?
Depending on were you are it really effects the price of the truck. People are not big on diesel for the most part in the Northeast so you can find some crazy deals up here. For example I saw a 1998 2wd reg cab 2500 with the 12V for 1800!!! They guy thought 250k was a lot on the motor. I got my 04.5 for 13,000. I mean she has some scrapes and such...but I can live with it.
