Cab Clearance Lights?

Is my 2005 2500 CTD already wired for the clearance lights? Someone told me that it was already wiring run in the a-pillar for the lights? Thanks for the help!

no they are not wired however when you drill the holes through the roof there are gaps in the reinforcment that allow clearence for the socket. the wiring comes with the kit aswell as the lights and they tap in under the hood in the fusebox so that they come on with parking lights. i put them on my dads 05

I think it's about $85-90 at the dealership. I'm going to put them on my truck...

Instructions for my 07 said to just run the wire down to the fuse box. Told you what wire to tap into.

Worked great!

i just had to redew the all the lights on my dodge and every thing you need for those llights you can get at autozone all you need to do is tap into one of the power wires for your hot or you can tap into your dimmer wire if yah want chicken light that you can dim.if you have a dodge you just pop the dash off and three screws hold that light switch in and tap into wich ever power wire you want its up to you(my suggestion is to tap into the parking lights wire or the dimmer wire). and you can run you ground from the fuse panel ground. run the two wires up the driver side piller and all the way across to the passenger side. if your putting on five lights you will need about 12 of those blue splicers that allow you to tap into other wires. when you get the lights theres two parts the cover and the bulb they mount together, the bulb comes in like a harness off the bottom ar two wires there about 8-10 inches they are H/G ofcourse. what i would do is tap a wire about 10 inches long off the wires you ran all the way across the cab 1/h 1/g for every hole you drill this gives you plenty of play room then you just use those connecters to connect the wires you ran and the wires on the light bulb keep in mind you also have to drill holes for the screws on the cover of the bulb. the screws should come with the cover and dont foret to put some clear outdoor silicone one the cover before you screw it down. hop this helps:thumbsup ill answer any ?'s i can
