don't know about third gens but on my truck there WAS a little black box next to the inside fuse panel that made the ding ding ding noise. just ripped it right out. might be something similar on yours. knowing how electronic everything is something else might stop working tho

not in manual for that its suppose to be a safety feature that cant be turned off, however it want do it if the seat belt is buckled, if u look by the buckle on the right side of the drivers seat there are two wires covered in a black wrap, cut a slit in the wrap and use a connector to conect those two wires, or as my buddy did he skinned those wires back and wrap them together, no more light on dash or honk,
