Hello, I am new to this site. I was wondering what you guys with the 2500 are getting for fuel mileage. I am currently getting between 11-12 with my 4.7L Dakota and am wondering if it will payoff if I get the 2500 Diesel that I want.
Im running 295/17's and Im getting 15-15.5 driving around in the sticks where I live. If im running stock tires its 18.5 at 70 mph freeway on cruise

I get around 15 towing about 3000 lbs of trailer in the "city" and can squeak out 19 on the highway if I keep it under 2000 RPM's. I have 4:10 gears so it hurts my mileage a bit.
According to my spreadsheet which dates back to 2008, my average in town is just under 15 mpg and my average on the interstate is just over 16mpg. Alot of people see better numbers than this. Apparently my driving style and truck just wont have it.
