Duramax owners ?

I know this is a cummins site, however, I know there are some Duramax owners on here who maybe able to help me and my buddy out.

He just bought a 2004 GMC and found a smoking deal on a edge programmer.

Where is the best place to put the EGT probe? Any tricks/specific knowledge to said EGT probe installation would be appreciated
TIA

it was shown on the tv show Trucks. search youtube for it and itll show you how to install it on the duramax. i believe it inbetween the 3rd and 4th cylinder on the exhaust manifold. and all you gotta do it drill and tap it, fairly easy install.

yes, on the passenger side, you gotta remove the inner fender well, theres just plastic clips holding them, and dont break them, it would be installed pre turbo, on the exhaust manifold, it goes inbetween the 3rd and 4th cylinder, because there in the back thats where the hottest and most important temps would be. is very easy just use some grease on the drill bit and the tap so no metal shavings will fall in the turbo. heres a link that i think it shows the video on how to do it, but i could be wrong i didnt watch it..
