Help with ID

I'm not familiar with later generations of the Cummins fuel system. The picture below is of a 5.9 in a 2003 bus. Can someone ID the injection system?

Thanks!

24v, probably has some sort of Bosch VP44-type pump. Whether it's the same one as in a Dodge, don't know.

Run the #'s and find out.

I would if I could. Unfortunately no VIN, CPL, etc. That's why I'm relying on the expertise here. If I understand correctly, 2003 was a change year. The manufacturer might have had engines left over from the previous year which would have been the VP44.

I have zip familiarity with later Cummins injection system.

I finally did get the the VINs and through them got the engine serial numbers and through those Cummins confirmed the VP44 injection pumps.

'03 was only a changeover for Dodge. LOTS of other applications for Cummins too.

I know after hunting for an engine that 2004 was when the Thomas school buses got the common rail upgrade.

The EGR does to your engine what smoking does to your lungs.
Remember you can always improve on a design until the EPA gets involved.
