Can someone tell me a little history on the 54 blocks. Are they going to withstand a smarty and maybe injectors. All ive heard about are the 53's so i know to stay away from them but i havent heard about the 54's. What would be the best block to withstand hp. I have an option to purchase a cummins with a 54 but i am a little hesitant with the 54's, not knowing much about them. Thanks
The fact thats theres not much knowledge on a 54 block is probably I good thing.
There are plenty of 53 blocks out there that are getting plenty of power out of with out any problems.
Ok, is there anyone you know running a 54 block. Ive heard nothing about them either. Id say it should be a good strong block to get big numbers out of since there are no post putting them down. Ive tried finding info on them and found nothing so i guess thats a good thing.
53 blocks are the only ones you need to worry about. All the others are fine.
