I need advice on what all i would need to do. i have a 96 dodge 1500 reg cab short bed i want to put a cummins in but need yalls help. so if ya have any advice or comments let me know thanks:thumbsup:
Probably not worth the time. At a MINIMUM you'd have to do the transmission, too. But it'd probably be a good idea to do the axles/driveshafts as well. No doubt there'd be plenty of surprises fitting everything up, and you'd be looking at some pretty serious down time.
My suspicion is that it would be sort of impractical, unless you are a pretty good fabricator, are currently laid off anyhow, and can find a cheap donor truck with a 12v.
Sure would be some pretty serious bragging rights, though!
you would need more than just a motor and trans... suspension would be a big concern i would think...hmmmm id try to find a 2500 and make it a shortbed...hmmmm
