So yesterday I finally did what I’ve been dying to do for a while test drive the Cummins, D-Max, and Powerstroke in one afternoon. I had my heart set on buying a new dodge diesel since I’ve gotten new job but this lil test has changed my perspective just a weeeee bit.
Players Dodge 2500 ext cab 8ft bed CTD; 2500 Chevy 2500HD crew cab 6ft bed D-Max Diesel; F-250 crew cab 6ft bed Powerstroke diesel
Power (Based on driving up hills and flats)
1). Dodge: Great power it just comes alive when you put your foot to the floor
2). Ford: No delays with their twin turbo setup nice power
3). Chevy: It really didn’t have the toque the other 2 had when you got it into the high rpm’s it was fast but not as torquey as the others
Interior
1). Ford: I just really liked the way the ford was put together it was stylish and rugged.
2). Chevy: It was close between the chevy and ford but the chevy made me feel like I was in an old mans ride
3). Dodge: It wasn’t even in this competition this truck is plain if your looking for amenities don’t buy a dodge
Ride
1). Chevy: Rode very well handled smoothly it’s a nice ride
2). Ford: Very nice ride a notch below the chevy but still a comfy ride
3). Dodge: Didn’t Ride well but handled well
Features
1). Ford: To many to list
2). Dodge: The engine brake did it for me I really enjoyed that feature
3) Chevy: Had more features than the dodge but most of them were useless
Rankings
1). Ford: this truck is just awesome it has power innovative features rides well and the exterior looks mean if would have bought one yesterday I would have walked away with this one…
2). Dodge: A solid truck great power and an aggressive body on this truck make it appealing but when you climb in the cab you feel like you didn’t get you moneys worth
3). Chevy: Boring exterior lack of power compared to the other 3 but has nice features but the interior reminds me of a retired mans pick up but that doesn’t mean it isn’t nice
