I'm writing a paper for a college discussion class on cars, transportation, and urban-ism. My paper topic is on how the development of cars and trucks over time has help aid urban-ism. I'm going to talk about switch to fuel injection, development of diesel engines and how car companies have made cars and trucks better for commuting everyday.

Anyone know of any good sites for diesel engine development over the years? It needs to be a 8 page paper so I will be using a good bit of sources

Plug "diesel history" into google. I comes back with some pretty good reading.

Talking about the level of emission changes would be the main reason diesels have advanced so far so fast. We are now in the tier 4 age which is why we see the dpf's egr's and vgt's. The automotive engineers site should give you all the info you need.
