gonna be putting a trans in my truck next week probably. its a lightly used trans but im gonna drain the converter and drop the pan so i can fill it with fresh fluid. what kind should i go with??
Run what was in it.... the friction material sucks up the fluid, so the trans is already seasoned and might not like a change. ATF3 or +4 is what I would recommend
I always use Castrol ATF+4 for my services, I used the dealers atf+4 when I first got the tranny... but that was too exspensive to do it again.
